Epson printerport at least one service driver failed on an XP home

I had 5 months ago an R280 Epson printer and sold it after a few weeks
for an HP K5400.

When I boot I get above error message I have click on to make it go
away. Its almost like a pop up ad for Epson.

I deleted epson from start, control panel software and even every
entry for Epson in Registry edit including EPLPDX02 and I still get
these error messages.

Below are error messages

and

Epson sent a reply to above with same help as on their site. Got to
control panel and delete Epson from programs. Also did a delete from
start menu and devices.

And when I say I went through registry I looked at every plus for
either Epson or EPLPDX02 and when I found EPLPDX02 I deleted it.
This computer is working just fine except for error message at boot.

help would be appreciated. And I find this a very strange way to
advertising Epson everytime I start and for no other reason would
never buy an Epson again.

One other thing I did was download from Epson site R280 driver. I
installed it up to point of connecting to printer and then when to
programs and removed it. One pop up during installation was to over
write previous files which I agree to.

thanks

I found this at another forum and it seems to work at least for this
morning boot.

Start, Control Panel, Admin, Component Services , Services Local,
Printer Spooler "Disable".

It worked except a few hours later I decided to print something with
my HP K5400 and could not.
Got a message no printer installed and something about spooler.

So I set spooler from disabled to manual and set my HP K5400 as
default printer.

So far so good on Epson pop up not appearing.
