EPS file headaches in Word.

I'm using Word 2003, and I have files in EPS 2.0 that I want to embed because
they contain detailed vector graphics - in other words, converting to TIFF
isn't an option for size and quality reasons. My problems are manifold. I
don't get any preview, even though there are TIF previews, and I also don't
get a text preview. Basically, I get an empty frame in the document. That
would be fine if I could get them to actually print - which I can't. Not to
Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional. Not to my local printer.

According to the documentation, I should have the filter for EPS installed
since it's presented as an option to choose in the Graphics->File dialog.

Any help?

G'day "Kuma" <[email protected]>,

For vector art, I always use an external art package to convert the
file to emf for use in Word.

Yeah - I did some experimentation and discovered that EMF files were OK for
quality and size - I remember EMF files being gigantic. I guess my point is
that Word advertises EPS integration and doesn't deliver - and not only that,
both Microsoft and Adobe act like everything hunky-dory.
