envelope in sys tray missing

Hi,

I am using outlook 2000 and over the past few days have
notice that when i recieve a new email, the usual little
envelope by the clock doesnt appear. How can i reinstate
it and what normally causes it to go missing.

Windows XP? Make sure Windows XP isn't configured to automatically hide the
notification.
