Envelope icon in taskbar for new mail

This is enabled in Tools, Options but it does not show up..did a Detect &
Repair..doesn't work.

What O/S? I have found that with Windows XP, I've had to modify the Taskbar
properties to change the envelope icon to "Always show" in order to see it
when new mail arrives. I have also found that, for my at any rate, unless I
lock the Taskbar after that, the setting can revert to "Hide when inactive".
