"Entry Point Not Found"/'RtlUnhandlerExdceptionFilter ' error ???

[PleaseHelp]

Hi,

Don't know what caused this (maybe this started after I
uninstalled a few softwares yesterday) but now eveytime
Windows starts I get a dialog box with the following title
and details:

"Entry Point Not Found"
The procedure entry point RtlUnhandlerExdceptionFilter
could not be located in the dynamic link library ntdll.dll


I also get the same error when I start any application.

Can u please help.

Are you using any Visual Studio 6 applicatuion? If so reinstall Visual Basic. If not are you using any Microsoft Office applicarion? If so reinstall any one of them which uses VBA like Excel. I believe the trouble is your VB6 runtime has lost some of its registry settings.

Hi George.

No I'm not using any such application. I have also re-
installed office but the problem still remains. This
seems to start with the Winser.exe (or maybe it's
Winsrv.exe) service becuase the first error message that
I get has Winserv related info on it....

Any clues....

Winser(v).exe??? Where is that and how does it start? Can you right-click the file and tell me the name for it, the holder of the copyright?
