entering # using the ASK command in a batch file

P

Patrick Walsh

I am using a batch file which asks the user to select an
option (either X or #) using the ASK. It works fine with
all windows versions except for win2k. Even though # is
working fine at the command prompt, within the batch file
I have to use SHIFT+3 to get the # character. I've
checked the keyboard settings and their fine. Any help
would be great, thanks
