Entering Information during powerpoint

At school, we play games with powerpoint. and we split into teams and then
play. when one teams scores, then there is a slide that you go to to enter
the information. i was wondering how to make it to where you cant enter,
lets say a score, during a presentation, without changing it in the editing
part of powerpoint.
