In Excel, when you hit enter/return, instead of going to
the cell below, or to the next row, it goes to the row or
cell above.

I can't find anything in help.

you can change this in Tool - Options on the Edit tab

Erin,

The first thing to check is your setting under Tools -- Options -- Edit
(Move Selection after Enter).

Erin,

Go to the Tools menu and choose Options, then the Edit tab.
There, check the "Move selection after Enter" setting and change
the "Direction" setting to Down.
