Enlarging new windows

I know this seems like a simple question, but I cannot figure it out. I know
how to enlarge windows but at this particular game site, when the game opens
into a new window it will not let me enlarge it...it only shows the X close
button and the - minimize button. I try dragging the corners but dead stop.
My mom who has the same (XP) and is networking with me, her windows are large
and full screen at this game site! What can I do to get these windows full
screen so I can enjoy the game better by being able to sit back and see all
details?

Guessing here but, left click the very top left of the window, select
Maximize
