"Engaging" Formulas

One some Excel Files (not all) I have to "Save" the file, in order for the
changes that I just entered (like data), to be "used", or (in other words)
for all the formulated cells to "engage".

??

Open your sluggish files and insure:

Tools > Options > Calculation > the automatic checkbox is checked.
