End presentation skipping "end of slide show/click to exit" slide

I have not been able to find a way to hyperlink a single slide from a second
multiple slide presentation and, after that specific slide has been viewed,
have the next keyclick result in a continuation of the original presentation
without either progressing through the second presentations remaining slides
or displaying the "end of slide show/click to exit" slide.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can uncheck this option (End with black slide) under "Tools", "Options",
"View" TAB. Also, if you hyperlink to a single-slide PPS file when you
click the mouse it closes that file (if the "End with black slide..." option
is turned off).

What Bill said plus:

Convert you "second presentation" to a custom show (Slide Show > Custom Show)
Link from your original presentation to the second using action settings
(Slide Show > Action Buttons or Action Settings). When you set up your action
settings hyperlink to the custom show you will get the option to check "Show
and Return." This will automatically return you to your original presentation.

Hope this helps.

Set up your "second presentation" as a custom show (Slide Show > Custom Show)
Use action settings (Slide Show > Action Buttons or Action Settings) to link
from your original pres to your second)
When you set up your hyperlink to the second pres (now a custom show) in
Action Settings you will get the option to "Show and Return" - check that
option.

Hope this helps.
