End key now goes to end of previous line

Before installing Office 2003, pressing the End key *always* took me to the
end of the current line. Now:
1. Press End to go to end of current line
2. Press Enter to manually break line and get cursor to next line
3. Press End <-- this should take me to end of CURRENT line, but it's
taking me to
end of the PREVIOUS line.
Does anybody know how I can fix this? I've looked for updates on MS's
website but can't find anything.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | General | uncheck the two
boxes for WordPerfect help and navigation | OK.

No joy. Both of these are already unchecked.

Just to make sure it wasn't document-specific I tried a couple of different
docs, but they all act the same way and all have both boxes unchecked. Any
other ideas?
