Encryption while typing my text. What F keys get me back?

While typing I must hit a wrong key and suddenly my keyboard letters don't
match what I'm typing - looks encrypted. I think I'm supposed to use some
combination of Fkeys with either the Shift, Control, or Alt key. Help please.
 
Make sure that the correct keyboard layout (input language) has been
activated (Control Panel, Regional and Language Options).
