I have encrypted some files with in my data drive which
is in D drive ok. However I had to format my system
partition and I've lost access to my encrypted files cuz
of SID info and other stuff.
Is there anyway to recover my lost encrypted files?

Thank you
Jesse

If you don't have access to the old profile that encrypted them, the EFS
certificate from the profile that encrypted them or a certificate from a
designated recovery agent (the latter 2 must be done before access is lost),
then your files I'd say are just occupying bits on the disk platter (i.e.
taking up space) - if there was a back door to EFS encryption, then it
wouldn't have been worth the time/money MS put into it.

Probably not.
Can you restore the old system to bootability,
or did you export the private key from the old
account and preserve it ?
If not, and the machine was not in an uplevel
Windows domain, then you are likely to loose
the files. There is one chance left, if you have
an unmodified copy of the profile of the account
that had encrypted the files, a copy that is from
a time after the files were encrypted, and you also
remember the password of the account at the time
of that copy.
