Encrypted Outlook psts

Here is what I did....

1. Exported a handful of folders from Outlook as Personal
Folder Files which were encrypted on export. 2. Copied
the files to CD. 3. Wiped out the laptop. 4. Reinstalled
the OS. 5. Tried to import the personal folder files back
into Outlook and got the error "... .pst file is not a
Personl Folder File"

I understand that when I exported the files some kind of
encryption key was stored on the local machine which was
probably lost when I reformatted the machine and
reinstalled the OS. Is there any way to recover my data
from these files now?

Not without the same software that encrypted them and the key used to
perform the encryption.
