Enabling Java?

Since my last format, I've been unable to run any java. When I go to yahoo
games or something similar, I'm always told I need a java capable web
browser. I know this is wrong, because I'm quite sure ie6 is java capable.

However I can't seem to find how to turn it on if it's simply the case it
was somehow disabled. I'm running ie6 w/ sp2 and everything is up to date.
Would appreciate any advice or help.
