EnableVisualStyles and Windows 2000

Is EnableVisualStyles only for on WindowsXP? Does it work on Windows 2000?

XP Only. (because it uses the comctl 6 library instead of 5.8) You can
purchase/download 3rd party controls that emulate the same look/feel.
