Enable update service?

Under the DLA tab of properties of my D drive (dvd/cd reader/writer)
there is a link for finding updates. Since I have difficulties
writing to DVDs I would like to check for updates, but when I click on
the link I get a message that "Update Services are Disabled".

Where do I go to enable Update Services?

XP (MCE) on Dell Dimension C521 with latest updates.

DLA or Drive Letter Access is not a microsoft product. It third party
software. Have you checked with their tech support to see if they have a
solution. A google search reveals this

You ought to ask this question of the maker. In your case, the maker is
probably Sonic.
You may find the manual on your computer. One of the many options of Help &
Support is to find manuals for all of the software.
