I mistakenly disabled the local administrator account on
windows xp. Now I can't log on. Can I reverse this
action?

I have installed another version of windows xp in another
directory trying to get to the user files but have not
been able to find them. Can you help?

Unless you have another Administrator level account, on the original install
to use, that account is pretty much history.

The files from the original install are still there, but you'll need to
"take ownership" to access them. See Help and Support and search for "take
ownership"
