Enable Recycle Bin on removable media?

Just wondering...

Is it possible to enable the Recycle Bin on removable media under
Windows 2000? I assume there's a registry entry somewhere that
controls whether drives flagged by the system as "Removable" have a
recycle bin or not.

The reason I ask is that I just bought a USB flash drive (128 MB)
and was surprised to discover that files I deleted did not go to
the Recycle Bin. No significant loss... THIS time. But I would
like the Recycle Bin enabled on this flash drive in the future, if
it's possible.

In case it matters, I will occasionally use this drive on a machine
running Windows 98 as well.

Thanks in advance...

Ummm... I'm a bit disappointed by the complete lack of response to
my original post... doesn't anyone have information for me on this
subject that might be helpful? Is my question so difficult that
nobody reading this can answer it? Have I missed some critical
point of netiquette for this group? :(

I know y'all ain't dead out there 'cause other peoples' questions
are getting responses... :)

Still hoping to find some answers here...

I have absolutely NO idea how to solve your problem, sorry.

Naturally, I didn't respond to your original post but at least now you
have a response..... ;-)

"Patience is a virtue"? :)

I did not respond initially because the standard answer is NO. Win2K
Help says:

"The following items are not stored in the Recycle Bin and cannot be
restored:
Items deleted from network locations.
Items deleted from removable media (such as 3.5-inch disks).
["removable media"]
Items that are larger than the storage capacity of the Recycle Bin."

That is not to say that someone, somewhere has not solved this
problem, even if the exact answer (W2K function) is still, NO. For
example I presume there is third-party "recycle"/"undelete" and
similar software that can do what you want. I do not personally know
of any and have all "recycling" disabled here.

In principal a utility might "hook" into the system and intercept
"delete" commands and do a copy-first-then-delete on your behalf.
