Enable/Disable Regedit

Recently I have tried to edit my registry, but an error
window appears telling me that the administrator has
disable registry editing.

I am running XP at home and am setup as the adminstrator.
How can I change the permissions?

Good Fix- Download from
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/tools.list.h
tml the tool for removingW32Swen.A@mm worm . This not
only removes the virus but also fixes the registry entry
Hkey_....\Policies\System DisableRegistryTools= 1 which
you could not directly do because editing was blocked.
