Empty Desktop

My computer will not boot up. After turning on the power,
I get an empty desktop with no Start button, no icons
nothing. Clicking my mouse does nothing either.

Yes, I have anti-virus software, and update it regularly.

Can you suggest a solution

Hi,

Ctrl/Alt/Delete and end process on explorer.exe. The go to File/New Task
and type in: explorer.exe
