Ordinarily you create another page by filling the first one. If you want to
insert a page break before filling the first page, press Ctrl+Enter.
If you're typing more than a page worth of text and it's disappearing, go to
Format | Columns and click on the preset picture for One (even if 1 column
is already selected), then click OK.

full.
