Emergency Help Needed Please

Outlook 2003

I accidentally deleted a very important task (to-do item) from Outlook. Is
there a way to get it back? I looked in the deleted items folder & recycle
bin but cannot find it. If it makes any difference it was deleted when I
synchronized with my Treo 650 phone.

Removing an item by synchronization does not put the item in the Deleted
Items folder, but permanently deletes it. This is why you make backups.
Recover the item from your backup. If you don't have one, your only chance
is:

I feel like a real dummy. I didn't delete it, it just got marked completed
in error so it didn't show up on my list.

This registry tweak will let you recover deleted items from any folder, not
just your deleted items folder. It may or may not work but worth a shot.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Exchange\Client\Options
DWORD = DumpsterAlwaysOn
Value=1
 
NOTE: Recover Deleted Items only works with Exchange and for the period set by the Exchange admin.
