embeding an example xml file in word

don

I am writing a document in Word 2003 about XML. I would
like to embed an XML fragement and would like to show the
entire XML fragement, including elements and attributes,
within the Word document.

Displaying xml elements isn't enough (Word's crtl-shift-x
feature) because it only displays the element names, not
the attributes.

I could use a link to the XML, but would much prefer
embedding.

Any know how I can do this?

Hi Don,

Word's interface simply doesn't support displaying
attributes with the tags. I'd say:

- copy/paste from Notepad OR

- use Insert/File with a link to the XML file (as plain
text; would look like Notepad) OR

- open the XML file in an application that does display
things the way you like and take a screen shot
