Embedding Mp3`s

Hi, I`m very new to web design and to FrontPage2002, the
version I`m using.
Something puzzles me.
I would like to embed a small Mp3 file into the opening
page of a site I`m trying to construct.
In page properties > set background sound, Mp3 files are
not supported.
It will allow me to embed a .wav file but this seems crazy
to me as the files are so much bigger.
Can anybody tell me, is it possible to embed an Mp3 in a
page? or am I out of luck here.

Just hand-type the file name, or specify a different file
and then fix it in teh HTML.

MP3 files are still pretty big, though...
