Embedded Macro vs Event Procedure

Ted

Hi All,

In Access 2007 if I use the wizard when creating a button it adds an
Embedded macro. In previous versions it started the code for me in an Event
Procedure so I can tweak it. Does anyone know how I can change it so when I
use the wizard it starts a procedure instead of an Embedded macro? It's kind
of frustrating.

TIA

Hi Ted,

Go to the Office Button, then Access Options, then Object Designers.
In the Forms/Reports section check the "Always use event procedures".

Hi Ted,

Sorry, I appear to be wrong (thanks Doug). Apparently I have not used
the wizard with buttons in 2007. Still thinking prior verisons.

Hi Ted,

Well, a little further testing shows that I was not entirely wrong. If
you are using the wizard with a button in a 2003 or earlier database (.mdb),
that setting still causes it to create event procedures.
