Emailing document as an attachment

Is it possible in Word (and/or Excel) to set an option/preference that allows
your email signature to appear at the bottom of the email when you are
sending a document/spreadsheet to someone as an attachment directly from the
Word or Excel program?

Sending mail from either of these applications uses the default e-mail
software. Check the help for the e-mail software in question.
