Emailing a fomatted Word document

I have a document (Newsletter) with photos, colums, and text boxes. When I
email it in the body of the email all my formatting changes. How can email
my patients this document and keep the formatting to look they way I have
created it?
 
You can't guarantee they will see it the way you intended unless you send it
as a .pdf attachment.
 
Can you suggest an alternate solution to send a document as the body of the
email? I would like to avoid sending an attachment.
 
Not if you want to be sure that they see it the way you intend. You can't
override the recipient's settings.
