Email word document attachments opening as Word Pad?

When I double click on a word attachment in email, it launches using Word
Pad? How do I change the default to use Word 2003? Help please.

I fixed my problem by launching Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Option >
File Type >DOC and noticed that the opens with read "WordPad" > clicked on
Change and selected MS Word and accepted. It's fine now. thx

error has been corrected under Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options >
File Types and changed open with to Word 2003....
