Email screen falls out

My email screen falls out after 2 minutes of non-use.
Sometimes this is in the middle of creating an email and it doesn't
automatically save to my draft folders box.
Does anyone know how I can adjust this?
 
How does it "fall out"? I've not heard of that expression with regard to
computer screens.
