Email Problem

I have set up outlook to connect to the Yahoo Pop server.
I can successfully send emails using Outlook but receive
the following error message when soing so:

Task 'pop.mail.yahoo.com - Sending' reported error
(0x800CCC78) : 'Unable to send the message. Please verify
the e-mail address in your account properties. The server
responded: 530 authentication required - for help go to
http://help.yahoo.comhelp/us/mail/pop/pop--.html'

I seem to be unable to receive emails into my Outlook
inbox.

I have contacted Yahoo and followed all the instructions
they gave me. They told me it was a fault with my email
client.

You need to configure authentication per the instructions on Yahoo!s site -
check under Mail->Help.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, davechamb asked:

I am getting the same error on 3 separate accounts, 2 on
yahoo, and another on another server - the message there
is slightly different. I think either my outlook is
corrupted or there is virus damage (I am protected by
Norton)

If you find an answer - let me know.
