I like to stay in the Calendar view with a minimized Navigation Pane on the
left side most of the time unless I am actually using email. Is there a
setting to let me know I have unopened messages waiting such as on the Today
screen? I am not talking about an indicator on the Windows taskbar or the
transparent notifier that comes up for a few seconds while the email is
incoming.

Thanks... Bob

Doesn't the New Mail icon that appears in the notification of the System
tray work well enough for that?

It's too small for me to see. What I was hoping for is, when you are in the
mail view with the Navigation Pane minimized you still get a narrow strip on
the left indication unread mail. I would like that to stay there even when
the main screen is in the calendar view.
