Email message disappeared

I accidentally dropped an email message on PERSONAL FOLDERS rather than a
proper folder and I can't locate it. It didn't go into folders listed, eg.
inbox, deleted,

Is there anyway of recovering this message and why would the message
disappear? Help please and Thanks
 
Right Click on Personal Folders
Click Properties
Click Home Page
Remove the tick next to "Show Home Page ..."

PErsonal Folders will now show a list of e-mails that are in it (similar to
other e-mail folders)

You can set the tick back again if you want to use Outlook Today after
moving your e-mail out of Personal Folders.
