I use the compression program PowerArchiver 2006. Can anyone suggest why the
"Email It" function isn't working? I believe this may be a Windows Shell
issue it is not specifically a PowerArchiver issue as I have a similar
problem in another free program called Picasa 2 . Could this be something
Norton Cleansweep has messed up?

Seeing words like Norton and CleanSweep *together* gives me a chill -
even separately they imply all sorts of program interference.

If your email program is web based, e.g. like GMail then shell-based
email functions don't typically work very well unless there is some
other program ready to "catch" the email. It may also be that
PowerArchiver and Picasa/Gmail (I use these latter two) are interfering
with each other.

Thanks in advance.

I get the error message "Either there is no default mail client or the
current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run
Microsoft Outlook and run it as the default mail client". I have tried this.
I have also reselected the default mail client in Internet Options. No Joy.

Does nobody know the answer?

You waited the grand total of 36 minutes, and you're complaining about slow
service?

We're all volunteers here, and nobody owes anyone else an answer. Show a
little patience and maybe somebody will be able to help you.

It was the best part of a day actually however I think you've read me wrong.
I just thought that as my thread has a reply (from me!) people wouldn't read
it.

Tough to say, none of what you are asking about comes with Windows, and
yes, you could have hosed it with that other 3rd party software.

Thanks for pointing this out.
