Email hyperlinks in Outlook 2007 / Windows Vista

I have found several answers to older versions questions, but I cannot find
the route for my OS.
I run Windows Vista home premium and Office 2007, and yesterday updated to
IE 8 (beta). I also run Firefox and Opera, but not as default browser
programmes.
For the past 2 weeks, whenever I try to click on a hyperlink in an Outlook
email in my inbox, I get the messages that the action is restricted and to
contact my system administrator (me!).
I have tried to reset IE to be the default programme for HTTP protocols (and
upgraded yesterday to IE 8 beta in the hope this might solve the problem),
but still get the same message.
What is the solution using my particular combination of OS and programmes?

Hi, did you ever get an answer on this? I'm having the same problem and I've
just about had enough of it. There does not seem to be much out there on this
specific problem. The only suggestions I see that might work are to go back
to another browser adn wait for MS to work this out. It's amazing that their
own software suites can't work together.

No, still waiting for a specific response
