email forwarding to external address

Hello

We have been trying to setup rules in Outlook (Office XP) which would fwd
emails with keywords to an external email address. (address not in our
domain) This does not seem to be working. We also tried to use a contact in
ADUC (external smtp address) as the fwd address, and this does not work
either.

Is it possible to fwd emails via a rule or exchange (2003/W2K3) mailbox
properties to another address not in our domain? What am I missing???

Your Exchange server is probably configured to not allow automatic forwards
to the Internet. Talk to your mail administrator about changing that if
there is a good business purpose to do so.
