Hi,

I know the above subject line is a little confusing but I could not think of
any other way to put it!

I am running XP Pro SP3 and Office 2007. I am using Outlook 2007 as my email
client. I have notice that two of my email contacts when I receive mail from
them reflect in the "From" field as the name followed by {PI}
- Example: Smith, John {PI}.

Please can someone tell me what this symbol means.

Many Thanks,

Bill

Without a context it is even more meaningless to us than to you;
profession: Private Investigator
Greek π; 3,14
Potential instability (used in science)
But there also many companies who can use that abbreviation.

Hi Roady,

Ok - In spite of asking the question the wrong way - you have answered it!

I thought my system was adding the {PI} for some reason e.g. some flawed
information, but clearly this is not the case, it is something the sending
organisation has added for whatever reason.

Many thanks for the help and the very rapid reply.

Cheers,

Bill

You're welcome! :-)
