Email Attachments not being delivered using Outlook

I have just spent over two months working closely with two ISP's, mine & the
ISP of the recipient. I have found that several recipients are not receiving
email attachments from me. After doing extensive test, I have found that I do
not have this problem when using Outlook Express but I can guarantee the
problem when using Outlook. I have ensured that regular updates have been
downloaded and installed so assume this problem is either a setting within
Outlook or a glitch in the software. I have had to revert back to Outlook
express for the time being in order to guarantee mail attachments being
delivered.

A couple of things to check: are you using rich text format? Only Microsoft
Outlook can read that format properly, it's the default format for email.
Change to HTML or plain text. Another thing to look at...are you using Word
as your editor and Outlook is a different version? That can cause issues too.
Just a couple of ideas.

Hi K,

I have checked what you said and in most cases, the mail format is HTML but
I cannot confirm if the failed deliveries were in this format. I will keep an
eye on the next mail I send. Also, I am using Word 2003 which is the same as
Outlook but for the time being, I have set Outlook not to use Word 2003 as
it's editor. Again, I will keep an eye on the outcome.

Thanks for your advise

Chris
