Email attachment question

I am having a problem with outlook sending attachments. I
have change my format to plain text and to Html. However
when I send an attachment to a Netscape client the
attachment shows up as a winmail.dat file. I was using
outlook 98 and have upgraded to Outlook 2000. This has
not helped. If I send the e-mail to an Outlook client it
works fine. I have checked the Microsoft TechNet site and
they only recommend changing the mail to plain text , but
this has not helped. Any ideas??
Thanks
Ken

Go into the contact record for the person who is having trouble getting your
attachments. Double-click that person's e-mail address and a box should pop
up called E-mail Properties. There should be a box that allows you to
choose a sending format for that person or to let Outlook decide the best
format -- make sure it's not set to always send to that person in Rich Text
format.

The people receiving the e-mail are using Netscape. Also
when I open the e-mail properties of my address book I do
not have a box that allows you to choose a sending format.

I have solved the problem. Maybe this will help you.
The problem was caused by using the outlook contacts as my
address book.
I deleted the outlook address book and deleted the
outlook.pab I had created after the contacts.
Then I created only the outlook.pab and this fixed my
problem. I tried this fix because when I opened the
contacts address book there was no place to select a check
box for send options.
