Hey folks,

For some odd reason, email addresses in the body of my received
plain-text messages are not hyperlinked. URLs are hyperlinked just fine, but
it's as if the @ symbol is being ignored. Any fix for this?

It would help if you included in your message:
Your Outlook version.
Your IE version
Your OS
Do you use Word as your email editor?
Do you use a Pop-Up blocker that may be set a little too high?

Thanks Nikki,

Outlook2003
IE6
I do not use Word as my email editor.
No pop-up blocker software

Perhaps email addresses written in a plain text email message never have an
embedded hyperlink unless mailto: is included?

Thanks,

Dave

You could check to see if your file association for the
URL:MailTo Protocol has gone wrong:

Open your Windows Control Panel
Select the TOOLS menu
Select FOLDER OPTIONS...
Select the FILE TYPES tab

Near the top are the NONE extensions types, look
for URL:MailTo Protocol
Highlight it and click the ADVANCED button
Confirm that an action of type OPEN in in the window
Click the EDIT button

NOTE: My Outlook 2003 application is installed on
my C drive so my path reflects this location:

Check the value in the window below:

Application used to perform action:
"C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE" -c IPM.Note /m "%1"

If everything looks ok, just cancel back out of everything.
