address book will pop up for me to choose frrome but I have several names
that should popup...what can I do to get all that should popup to actually
popup...

Excample
I start to type an address that begins with "D" so one name pops up ...Diane
@......
but I have (in address book) Don @..... Dave@..... Debbie@.... David@ .....
etc.....
How can I get all that start with "D" to popup ??

I do have that option checked in Mail (Vista)

Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know WHY it only keeps 29? This is VERY frustrating! Any way to
change the settings for that so it will keep more?

Why? I don't know, that's how it was designed....

Windows Mail auto-completes from a separate list of 29 addresses YOU TYPE
IN, not from your contacts. This list is stored in the registry.

If you wish to remove old or incorrect addresses, there is a utility to
clear recently used email addresses in Windows Mail...

To retrieve addresses from your contacts folder, click on the To: button.

This is one of the features that works properly in the newer Windows Live
Mail.

Because all Windows Mail development was stopped by executive fiat when
Vista was still in beta and there were quite a number of outstanding bugs!

I meant to say that the user can't fix it with a workaround or setting change.
Obviously the developers could fix it if they were tasked to do so.
