On my new computer, when you right click on a file folder, one of the
options is "Add to WinAmps Bookmark List." How can one get rid of such
links. I know that you can add to the list by using Control Panel /
Folder Options, but I don't see how to remove pre-installed ones.

Select Options, Preferences. In the tree pane on the left, select File
types under the General Preferences branch. Now uncheck Show Winamp in
folder context menus in Windows Explorer or Directory context menus in
older versions; then click Close.

What program are you in when you are doing this? Windows Explorer? Winamp?
Folder Options?
What if you don't have WinAmp?

I think you left out the part, where they needed to open WinAmp?
