eliminated my backup

On Thursday, it found the Cydoor infestation. Prior to
removal, I set a restore point. Today it found Cydoor
again, when I removed it it was the Cydoor in the backup
and it deleted my restore point.

The program should be smart enough to see that it is a
restore point and not "find" it again in that file.

Do you want to remove Cydoor or keep an infected restore point?

I have found that the restore points are not all that helpful so I don't use
them on any machine I support. The one time a restore point saves your
bacon does not outweigh the 9 times it does nothing to help you. A good
backup policy and the execution thereof has been a better bet for me.

Wouldn't you rather know so that you can clear it out of System Restore
so you don't accidentally restore it to its infested state. AV programs
have been detecting things in SR Points for years and I don't think
they'll ever stop, because it is something the user should know.
