EFS: How to share between multiple people?

Hello,

I am trying to share data in a folder that is currently encrypted with
EFS. When I try to add a user in my AD domain, it get an error
stating "No appropriate certificates for the corresponding user". I
can't find any documentation on how to actually create a domain
certificate for a user. Can someone please explain this process? We
do not use PKI or any other types of CA in our environment. This is
new technology in our network.

Thank you.

Hi GreenieLeBrun,

You will need a CA on your domain to manage your EFS certs. It can get quite
messy unless you have access to someone who has done it before. A simpler &
safer approach would be to go third party.
Check out pgp.com for their solutions. That will probably save you many
hours and provide easily managed & strong security for shared data.
