EFS for Recycler ?

I just started to use EFS and I wonder about the Recycler. I cannot
encrypt it and when I delete a file, it shows up "black" meaning
unencrypted.

Maybe someone can explain the concept behind - or are deleted files
really left unencrypted ?

Offhand I am not sure but best practice with EFS files would be to empty the
recycle bin and then run the cipher /w: command when done as in cipher
/w:c:\ for the whole C drive.
