Efficent use

Where is the best place to locate you icons? Desktop or tool tray or
does it make a difference? I prefer tool tray leaving my desktop clean
as possible but will change if it affects the efficiency of the
computer.

%userprofile%\Desktop

Quick Launch icons are here.

%userprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
