Have an old Pentium 100 with abt 300Mb ram and 4-5 Gb HD.
Good boat anchor one might say.
Am giving it to my neice for her pre school kids.
Will put win 98 on it, xp might be asking too much.
Anyone suggest freeware games for the young ones.
Something basic.
Any web sites you can suggest.

Thanks.....Ian

Depends what type of games you're after ... a good start would be;

www.freewarekids.com
www.freewarehome.com

Child Proof
Child Proof is a program that protect your computer from children
by accident pressing wrong buttons or key. It hides all windows, the
toolbar at the bottom and the desktop and replaces it by a toolbar with
programs you allow your child to execute. This avoids most problems when
children use the computer (but not all). No longer maintained. Source
code is available. Latest version is 1.0 (Nov 16, 2000).

Go to my webpage:

http://www.gammawgeek.us/educational.html

and there is a list of software I used for pre-schoolers and other
young children. I know for sure that the first 2 - Cyberstart and
Sebran's ABCs, willl run on a s slow as a 486. You might try some of
the other's listed at the same site as Sebran's ABC. Both of the above
are excellent programs and the kids loved them.
