editing subject lines and removing attachments

Outlook has a hidden feature that allows you to double click the subject
line and edit it. This is extremely useful for fixing blank or vague
subject lines.

Can the new Vista Mail allow you to annotate the email in some way?

We get emails from our voice mail machine which has an attached .wav
file. We have to listen to the .wav file to hear the caller's message.
We would like to edit the messages' subject line to annotate what the
call is about so we don't have to listen to the message again. Secondly,
we'd like to have a feature to remove attachments from messages while
keeping the body.

You can't change the subject easily. You might be able to assign attributes
to the email outside of WinMail itself that would enable you to sort and
search by such attributes in Explorer, since each message is an individual
file in Vista.

My OEX program (www.oehelp.com/OEX/) currently will remove (and save)
attachments from messages amongst other things for OE, and I hope to have it
working soon in an updated version for WinMail. I need the RTM version
before I can finalize any code.
