If you have PPT 2002 or later, you can use a combination of triggered
animations to do this. First, draw the circles around the parts of the
picture you want to emphasize. I do this by adding a circle or oval
autoshape, giving it a fill of any color set to 98% transparent and a thick
line that contrasts with the color underneath. Next, give each circle a
Wheel entrance animation and change the number of spokes to one. Third step,
give each circle an exit animation. Fourth step, add boxes to use as
triggers for the entrance of each circle (give these boxes a 98% transparent
fill and no line). Final steps: Set the entrance of each circle to be
triggered by the click of one of the boxes and the exit of each circle to be
triggered by a click on the circle itself.
If you have one of the earlier versions, let us know and we';ll see if there
is a way to fake it there.
